Walk to Emmaus   (Reference Luke 24:13-35)
The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal program intended
to strengthen the local church through the development of
Christian disciples and leaders.  The program's approach
seriously considers the model of Christ's servanthood and
encourages Christ's disciples to act in ways appropriate to
being "a servant of all".

Emmaus Sponsorship

If you are interested in being a sponsor, please
contact an Emmaus Board Member.
The Southwest Community website is :  http://www.swvaemmaus.org

Pray and discern who God may be calling you to sponsor. The person should have traditional Christian
belief,  promotes church leadership and involved in Christian community.
Applications are available on the SW VA Website.

Walk's Cost
Total Cost = $125.00 for someone to attend a Walk to Emmaus
Scholarships are available because the community believes and supports
that "cost" should not be a reason for someone to not be able to sponsor
someone for a walk.  The requirements:
$35.00 paid at time of application submission and the balance due at
the beginning of the start of the Walk.  Recommendations: The applicate
makes a committement by paying the $35.00 with their application, the
remaining balance paid by the sponsor.

There is a Musician Scholarship Fund available.  This scholarship is
for anyone in the role of a musician who wants to attend a Walk to
Emmaus or anyone who is asked to serve in the role of a musician
on a specific walk.
The cost if fully funded by the Musician Scholarship Fund.
